Internal Audit
Mrs. Dianne Alleyne, is the Internal Auditor and the Head of
Internal Audit.
The Internal Auditor is responsible for providing management with
information, about the adequacy and effectiveness of the Ministry’s
system of internal control.
Core Functions
- Provide an independent appraisal function to examine and
evaluate the Ministry’s activities (financial and others) as a
service to the organization;
- Provide the Ministry with the assurance that adequate
Financial and Management controls have been established and are
operating effectively. In this way, the Internal Audit functions
as a Management Tool, and;
- Provide the Ministry with information on weaknesses in the
system, if any, and making recommendations for remedial action,
where necessary.
