Advisory Town Planning Panel (ATPP)
Ms. Luan Atwell, Administrative Officer II, is the Secretary of
the Advisory Town Planning Panel.
The Advisory Town Planning Panel was established under the Town &
Country Planning Act Chapter 35:01 for the express purpose of
advising the Minister on any matter within their knowledge or on
which the Minister may seek their advice.
The Panel is comprised of private sector professionals from the
legal, land use planning, environmental, engineering fields and from
the Tobago House of Assembly, who have been appointed by Cabinet. In
accordance with the decision of Cabinet recorded at Minute #570 of
March 27, 2002 the Advisory Town Planning Panel was appointed for a
period of two years with effect from the date of their letters of
appointment.
Core Functions
- Conduct reviews, on behalf of the Minister, of the decisions
made on applications for planning permission to develop land, of
complaints against unauthorized development and on enforcement
of planning control; and
- Advise the Minister on land use planning and land
development matters.
