On Friday September 22, the Ministry of Planning and Development attended the Trinidad and Tobago Youth Convention (TTYC)  2017, where forum participants were invited to share their various initiatives to a wide cross section of young attendees.
The Ministry of Planning and Development shared youth related aspects of the Vision 2030 National Development Strategy and environmental initiatives in an effort to include young attendees and their ideas and thoughts in these and other governance and national development projects.   The TTYC has been accepted as a means of brining youth together within Trinidad and Tobago by highlighting youth achievements and advances while acknowledging the many issues affecting them today. The event was held at the UWI Sport and Physical Education Centre. In attendance were His Excellency President Anthony Carmona SC, The Parliament of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Canadian High Commission and various other government and private sector entities.
